There are Airbnb's that are just places to stay, and then there are Airbnb's that provide wonderful life experiences. Petra's place is of the latter kind. It's not only the physical beauty of the hand-hewn cottage and its incomparable location overlooking the rolling hills of North Texas, but it's also the idyllically peaceful and quiet environment. Add in the beautiful and friendly horses that greet you as they graze around the building in the morning, and you'll find yourself never wanting to leave! Of course, there are - in fact - great things to do in the surrounding area. For hiking, there's Mineral Wells State Park, and for those with an historical bent, you'll want to visit the National Vietnam War Museum, which highlights the role that nearby Fort Wolters played in the primary training for 95% of the helicopter pilots serving in that conflict. Also, Downtown Mineral Wells is on the upswing, offering a variety of interesting shops and eateries. Enjoy!
